(CTI), Huntsville, Alabama. “Electronic buyers have raised the bar for independent distributors to be included on their Approved Vendor List (AVL), said President, Ron Jiron. “With the proliferation of counterfeit parts entering the supply chain, OEMs and Contract Manufacturer’s are scrutinizing vendor performance and qualifications.  CCAP-101 Certification is an important differentiator to our customers as they select key suppliers to support electronic builds and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) projects.”

CTI’s founder and Chairman, Mr. Leon Hamiter, is an electronic component technology expert recognized in the United States, Europe and Japan for developing the first high reliability components requirements for space Projects and was Chief Engineer of the NASA Standard Components Program.  Mr. Hamiter consults with some of the largest electronic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and government contractors in the world and developed the rigorous Counterfeit Components Avoidance Program (CCAP) to establish a detection and avoidance standard for independent electronic distributors.
